What this is

Global Habit is a free higher-or-lower trivia game about countries. Use it to entertain yourself. By playing, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please close the tab.

Accounts

You don't need an account. If you want one — to keep your high scores between visits — you can sign in with Google. You're responsible for the Google account you use; if someone else controls it, they control your scores.

We may suspend an account that's being used to abuse the service (scripting, scraping, harassment, the obvious things).

Acceptable use

Don't try to break the site, scrape the data at scale, attack other users, or impersonate us. Don't reverse-engineer the source URL scheme to enumerate Supabase data — that's already public, but also: please don't.

Data accuracy

Game data comes from public sources — UN World Population Prospects, World Bank, CIA World Factbook, UN Tourism, Global Firepower, Wikipedia, Google Trends. We refresh it periodically but make no guarantee that any specific value is current to the day. Don't cite Global Habit in a school paper.

Intellectual property

The site design, code, and copy are ours. The country data is sourced from the references named in the colophon and on each category card. Country flags are served by flagpedia.net and used under their permissive licence.

Ads

We show a Google AdSense ad after each game so the site can keep being free. AdSense's terms apply to those ads — see policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee uptime, score persistence, or that the trivia will make you smarter. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site.

Changes

We may update these terms. Any changes show up at this URL with a new "last updated" date. If a change matters to signed-in users, we'll surface it inside the app before it takes effect.

Termination

You can stop using Global Habit at any time. Email globalhabitapp@gmail.com from the address you signed in with to delete your account and associated game sessions.
